This recipe has a special memory.
My husband and I tried this roasted provolone for the first time on our honeymoon. And what we thought looked like an odd menu item turned out to be a favorite addition to our recipe book.
This recipe is quick and easy for a fast addition to dinner. But it also makes an incredible impression as an appetizer for a party. The delectable flavors will stay with you forever.

Ingredients
1” thick slice of Sharp Provolone Cheese
Fresh or dried Rosemary
Dried Chives
Black Pepper
Garlic powder
Dried garlic chips
Olive oil
6” Cast iron skillet
One large baguette
Directions
Preheat broiler on high
Place provolone cheese in the center of the cast iron skillet
Sprinkle the top and sides with rosemary, chives, black pepper, garlic powder and garlic chips
Drizzle a tsp of olive oil on the top of the provolone cheese
Broil on high for approximately 6 minutes only golden brown and bubbling.
Accompany with toasted Italian bread
Slice a baguette on an angle to have a larger slice of bread
Toast or bake the bread on both sides until golden and toasted
